This is a laudable effort. Not just because it provides Sindhis globally a means of fostering their sense of identity, but also because it clearly attempts to do so with a measure of elegance. Unfortunately the image most of us younger Sindhis have of Sindhyat is a complete caricature. Being in step with the times whilst balancing oneself with a sense of values is therefore the remedy called for. As for what constitutes “Sindhi values”, certainly this goes beyond language and clapping for Jhulelaal (much as I love Him). Sadly, many of us tend to be satisfied with our Sindhi-ness purely because of these external symbols. I think we need to be sensitive to the SPIRIT in which Dada Jashan urges us Sindhis to nurture our fast-diminishing culture. Sindhis are known to be very enterprising… That’s a value there! Perhaps our most distinctive characteristic, in fact. So the next question is, how do we put this energy to good use? Where is the pioneering spirit amongst us? For better or worse, it’s largely in the business sphere. And yet there is so much more we could do, standing as Hindus first (in the highest sense of being Hindu, which is to be universal) and Sindhis second. Sadhu T. L. Vaswani and Dada Jashan are perfect examples of true Sindhi pioneers in modern times. By doing their work, whatever it is (in this case promulgating spirituality), whilst retaining their Sindhi identity (physically/socially) — and actually bringing into Sindhi thought concepts that may at one time have been considered ‘foreign’ — they shine as harbingers of Sindhyat’s evolution…. Has anyone listened closely to the natural elegance and poetic depth in the speech of these two Masters’ Sindhi?

Sindhi Radio is a nice gesture and should be applauded by all Sindhi brothers and sisters, as it will promote our mother language. But it is very sad that in our sindhi community we have got large numbers of Big Shots, industrialists , leaders , BUT no one had ever thought of starting a a FULL SINDHI CHANNEL on T V ., nor we can persuade The E T V channel CO. which is having lot of REGIONAL channels , but till date not thought of starting a SINDHI channel. Why ? May be other regional languages are of great importance than SINDHI. JAGO SINDHI BHAVRO JAGO for this COMPAIGN. Thanks for reading my personal thoughts.

    • I think in short a lot boils down to “We are not densely populated in one place”.
We are trying our best to re-unite all the Sindhis across the world and achieve this.
